Covid 19 has had an effect one everyone I have talked to in one way or another. We are constantly being bombarded by stay home, wash your hands, wear a mask and physically – socially distance. It got to a point for me on FB that I decided to leave a particular group because of all the negativity.
During this time anxiety has risen, people are gaining weight and health is on a decrease.
So with that being said, what if you and I took a proactive approach to this situation and did what we could with whatever was available to us to make a positive difference for us and those around us.

Here are a few things to consider for your mind, body and spirit.
- Take a few moments out of your day to focus on your breath. One technique is called square breathing. Breathe in for a count of four, hold for a count of four, breathe out for a count of four and hold for a count of four. Repeat this a few times and just focus on your breath. If this is challenging for you then start with a count of three. If you are looking for guidance contact me here.
2. Listen to a meditation audio. There are so many choices on youtube.
3.Start a gratitude journal. Sometimes feeling gratitude for the smallest things helps your frame of mind.
4. This is different for everyone depending their current physical status, location of living and life circumstance. This could be going for a short walk.
5. Reach out if you need to talk to someone. Sometimes just letting out your frustrations and having them acknowledged can make a big difference for you. It has for me.
The point I hope I’m making here is to take action. I hope these ideas, if you so choose to act on anyone of them, helps you be in a better mental and physical state to cope with this pandemic.
I have done all of the above and continue to keep my options open as these activities have helped me when I have had my own meltdowns.
In a time when certain “freedoms” are taken from us, we need to have a safe proactive alternatives to build our mind, body and spirt to be strong and get stronger.
